Do It Out of Love began as a painting of myself, but every time I sketched the figure, it looked like a man. Eventually, my children looked at it and said, “Oh, you’re painting Daddy.” That was when I realized the painting had become my husband.
Inspired by Malia’s song Do It Out of Love, this piece is about opening the heart and mind to new possibilities, new ways of living, and greater expansion. The glowing heart and blooming mind represent love, growth, softness, and the freedom to become more fully yourself.
At its core, this painting is a reminder to choose growth, possibility, and transformation. Not from fear or pressure, but out of love for yourself.
