I Choose Me was born from a moment when I realized how deeply insecure I had become. After hours of crying, I got up, found a set of affirmations, and began writing them down so I could record them in my own voice. I photographed that moment. The shadow stretching across the page called to me and knew it needed to become a painting.

For me, this piece became more than positive affirmations. It became a reminder that choosing myself means learning to love all of me, including my shadow.

Light, shadow, and everything in between. I choose me.
